Pakistan's fast bowler Haris Rauf praised Mohammad Amir, who recently reversed his retirement decision, stating that he'll gain valuable insights from the experienced left-arm pacer ahead of the Ireland and England T20I series.

While speaking to media on Sunday in Lahore, Rauf emphasized the importance of competition among bowlers for team improvement, highlighting the positive atmosphere within the team.

“Amir bhai is our senior bowler. I get to learn a lot from him. The team benefits when there is competition for spots between bowlers. There is no jealousy. You try to perform better than one another so that the team benefits,” Rauf said.

Rauf, who is recovering from an injury sustained during PSL season 9, expressed the challenges of returning to form.

“It is always difficult to return from an injury, I’m trying to get back in rhythm,” Rauf said.

Rauf also mentioned their aim to rectify past mistakes and bring joy to Pakistani fans, aiming for success in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

“We played great cricket in the last World Cup, we reached the final. We are now trying not to repeat those mistakes. We will do our best to bring happiness to our people,” he concluded.
