Afridi stated that he believes it is essential to help players
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi feels Hasan Ali could still return to the team. Afridi disclosed that he often interacts with the right-arm bowler and encourages him to return to the national team.
Afridi revealed this information while addressing Azhar Ali's retiring speech. Azhar, who recently announced his retirement, highlighted Afridi in his address and thanked the former captain for his support throughout his career.

The former all-rounder stated that he believes it is essential to help players, particularly when they are performing poorly.
“Hasan Ali is not in the team. But I know he has performed well for Pakistan. I don't want people to forget him. I still talk to him, message him and tell him to not lose hope. I tell him to make a comeback and take domestic cricket seriously,” Afridi said.
“As a senior player, it's your responsibility to support your juniors. Everyone is with you in your good times, but it's important to give support during bad times too,” he further added, “These are Pakistan's heroes, if we don't support them, who will?”
Hasan has represented Pakistan in 21 Tests, 60 ODIs, and 50 T20Is since his debut in 2016. He was removed from the team following the Asia Cup in October of this year due to poor performance.
