Pakistan’s head coach-cum-chief selector Misbahul Haq claimed that this was the right move because of Hasan’s history of injuries
Pakistan’s fast-bowler Hasan Ali deleted a cryptic tweet after getting axed from the list of centrally contracted players for 2020-21 on Wednesday.
The concerned tweet consisted of Hasan’s trademark generator celebration while batting with a caption that claimed that the celebration was not just for bowling.
“This celebration isn’t just for bowling,” Hasan tweeted.

Earlier, fast-bowlers Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz missed out on central contracts after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the new list for central contracts for 2020-21 which comes into effect from July 1 for a 12-month period.

The PCB, however, was adamant that these players will remain in contention for selection in what will be a busier cricket season as compared to the one that has just concluded.
Pakistan’s head coach-cum-chief selector Misbahul Haq claimed that this was the right move because of Hasan’s history of injuries.
“The selectors have made the tough decisions to leave out Amir, Hasan and Wahab but considering Hasan missed most of the season due to an injury and Amir and Wahab decided to focus on white-ball cricket, this was the right move," said Misbah in a press release issued by the PCB.
“However, Amir and Wahab are senior and experienced bowlers and they remain in contention as we believe they can still contribute to the Pakistan men’s cricket team and also mentor our young battery of fast bowlers," he added.
The 25-year-old Hasan Ali has featured in 9 Tests, 53 One-day Internationals (ODIs) and 30 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for Pakistan picking up 31 wickets, 82 wickets and 35 wickets respectively in each format.
