Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has opened up after his impressive performance with the ball on the opening day of the first Test against Zimbabwe in Harare.

The right-armer claimed figures of 4/53 in 15 overs as Pakistan bowled out Zimbabwe for a modest total of 176 runs.

“Every good performance gives a player confidence, especially in Test cricket as it is a challenging task. I’m happy to do well after making a comeback in the national side,” said Ali after the close of play.

He also spoke about bowling with fellow pacer Shaheen Afridi, who picked up four wickets in the first innings.

“I like bowling with Shaheen Afridi. We have formed a good bowling pair, especially considering the right-arm and left-arm combination,” he said.

“We had planned to take control of the match on the first day and thankfully we succeeded. Hopefully we will continue our good performance and win the match,” Ali concluded.
