Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and England batter James Vince will represent Quetta Gladiators in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven.

According to sources, defending champions Multan Sultans have traded them to Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators ahead of PSL 7's draft. Sultans will now have a few extra picks of Gladiators in the draft on December 12.

Franchises are currently finalizing a maximum of eight player retentions from the last event. The transfer and retention window will close on December 10.

Shahid Afridi, on numerous occasions, had expressed his desire to represent Quetta Gladiators in his last PSL as a player and now it is confirmed.

Sultans' owner Alamgir Tareen wanted Afridi to play for them but Gladiators' owner Nadeem Omer had repeatedly emphasized having the services of the legendary all-rounder.

Afridi played four matches for Sultans last year where he picked two wickets and made three runs. On the other hand, Vince participated in five matches in Karachi, scoring 174 runs. Both players were not part of the Abu Dhabi leg in June.

Meanwhile, Sultans' head coach Andy Flower is also coming to Pakistan and will be part of the draft in Lahore.
