Pakistan fast bowler, Hassan Ali, expressed his doubts about being included in the national team's squad for the World Cup as the mega-event is set to take place in India later this year.

In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, Ali stated that he believes it is unlikely that he will be part of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) plans.

"At this moment, it seems unlikely that I am part of the PCB's plan, and to be honest, I don't think that I will be included in the World Cup squad. The tournament is rapidly approaching, and the team for the mega-event may already be finalized. We don’t have many ODI matches left, and the status of the Asia Cup, including its location remains uncertain. Time is also running short," he said.

The 28-year-old acknowledged the exceptional performances of the current bowlers representing Pakistan, emphasizing that they deserve to travel with the team.

However, he remains uncertain about his own prospects, not only for the World Cup but also regarding his inclusion in the red-ball team.

"The current bowlers representing Pakistan are performing exceptionally well, and they deserve to be part of the team. As for myself, I remain uncertain about my inclusion in the national side, and I'm unsure if I'll be part of the red-ball team as well," he said.

"While I don't envision myself in the World Cup squad at this moment, one can never predict when an opportunity might arise. I stay prepared, ready to shoulder any responsibility bestowed upon me. This team is my own, and I'm always available to give my all, aiming to deliver victories for my beloved team," he concluded.
