The inaugural season of Legends League kicked off yesterday where Asian Lions faced off against India Maharajas.

The tie rolled back some old memories with the likes of Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Yousuf, Misbah-ul-Haq coming up against former Indian players.

One battle which we have already seen before was Shoaib Akhtar going head-to-head against Mohammad Kaif.

Akhtar, who is regarded as one of the fastest-ever bowlers across the globe, did not appreciate Kaif charging down the pitch to face him.

Responding to his advancement down the pitch, Akhtar pulled out a gem of delivery as he bounced one past Kaif which caught part of his glove on the way.

This was a similar dismissal to how Akhtar dismissed Kaif back in 2003. Following the match, Akhtar said in a post-match interview that he had jokingly warned Kaif many times not to walk on him.

"He is walking towards me again. I just feel like punching him," Akhtar said as he breaks into laughter.

"I have told him [Kaif] many-a-times on television to not walk on him but he did it again," added Akhtar.

Both players shared a light moment on the pitch as well, which was appreciated by cricket fans across both borders. Here's the video:

The Rawalpindi Express delivered a remarkable performance - especially since he recently had knee surgery - as he ended up with 1-21 figures in his four-over spell against the Maharajas.

However, the Maharajas proved to be the better team on the night as they won by six wickets thanks to Yusuf Pathan's magnificent 80-run innings off 40 deliveries.
