Bishop expressed his views on the players who he believes should have been part of Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad
Renowned cricket commentator and former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop has weighed in on Pakistan's squad selection for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, suggesting that certain players deserve consideration for inclusion.
Speaking on a recent cricket analysis show, Bishop expressed his views on the players who he believes should have been part of Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad.
“If you want me to tell you what will happen, I will say that they should include players like Saim Ayub in the team. I don’t know if this is going to happen immediately, but it should happen in the near future," Bishop said.
“Mohammad Haris is another guy. He is not in the reckoning as they left him back home. He is another guy who should play for them,’ he added.
Bishop also offered insights into Pakistan's batting strategy, particularly regarding the opening pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
“They will open with Babar and Rizwan. but they need to change their template in T20 cricket. Babar and Rizwan will have to shift their gear as far as their batting approach is concerned,” he concluded.
Pakistan is placed in Group A for the tournament, alongside India, Ireland, Canada, and the USA. They are set to play their first match against the United States on June 6 in Dallas.
