Iceland Cricket took a dig at Pakistan opener Imamul Haq after he failed to perform in both innings of the ongoing day-night Test against Australia in Adelaide.

After managing only two runs in the first innings, Imam was trapped leg-before-wicket by Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood and departed without opening his account in the second innings on day three. As a result, Imam’s batting record took a further hit as he has scored a total of 485 runs in 21 Test innings at a poor average of 25.5.

Whereas, Australia opener David Warner in his last two Test innings has scored 489 runs, including 335 not out in the first innings of the Adelaide Test, which is more than Imam’s total career runs tally in the longest format.

The Twitter account of Iceland Cricket took this opportunity to mock the opener by highlighting the aforementioned stat in their tweet.

“David Warner has scored more runs in his last two innings than Imam-ul-Haq has scored in his entire test career,” tweeted Iceland Cricket.

Having thrashed Pakistan by an innings and five runs in the Brisbane opener, Australia appear well set to sweep the series 2-0 unless weather intervenes.
