Islamabad United's Imad Wasim, led his team to victory in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine final against Multan Sultans on Monday., expressed his eagerness to continue playing cricket for approximately five more years.

Speaking in the post-match presentation, Imad reflected on his performance and expressed his eagerness to continue playing cricket for approximately five more years.

“I wasn't feeling it will be my best event tournament but wanted to make an impact but glad it went so well for me,” Imad said.

“I think I'm happy playing cricket, I'm fit and trying to contribute as much as possible. I've four-five years of cricket left in me," he further added.

Imad also highlighted the significance of his five-wicket haul in the final, acknowledging it as a valuable learning experience.

“I've done it on quite a few occasion in batting but to pick fifer in a final and to stay in during a crucial game, it was a new experience but I have learned from it that we should have finished the game earlier rather than taking it down the wire, glad Hunain finished it," Imad state.

The thrilling final was decided on the last ball when Hunain Shah struck a boundary, securing victory for United. Sultans, batting first, posted 159-9, with notable contributions from Usman Khan and captain Mohammad Rizwan.

Imad shone with the ball, claiming figures of 5-23, supported by Naseem's 3-32. Despite a late resurgence from Multan, propelled by Iftikhar Ahmed's quickfire innings, United successfully chased down the target.
