India secured a seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka via Duckworth-Lewis System (DLS) in the second T20I on Sunday, clinching an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

As India began their chase of 162 runs, rain halted play after only three deliveries. India were eventually set a revised target of 78 in eight overs.

India faced early trouble when Sanju Samson was bowled out for a golden duck by Maheesh Theekshana's impressive delivery. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav counterattacked aggressively to keep India on course.  th

Matheesha Pathirana broke their partnership by dismissing Suryakumar for 26 off 12 balls, while Jaiswal quickly added 30 off 15 balls.

Hardik Pandya then ensured India faced no further setbacks, remaining unbeaten with 22 off nine balls. He sealed the win by hitting Pathirana for a four.

Earlier, Sri Lanka, after a strong start, finished at 161-9, courtesy of Kusal Perera's attacking half-century. Indian bowlers Ravi Bishnoi and Hardik Pandya shared five wickets to halt Sri Lanka's early momentum.

India struck early after opting to field first, dismissing Kusal Mendis for 10. A partnership between Pathum Nissanka, who scored 32, and Perera, who hit 53, added 54 runs quickly. Nissanka was trapped lbw by Bishnoi, but Perera continued to attack, reaching his fifty with a six off Pandya.

Pandya then took two wickets in one over, including Perera's, shifting the momentum back to India.

Former captain Dasun Shanaka was bowled by Bishnoi for a second consecutive first-ball duck. Bishnoi also removed Wanindu Hasaranga, though Ramesh Mendis survived the hat-trick ball.

Sri Lanka collapsed from 130-2 to 140-6, with Axar Patel taking two wickets in the final over to further restrict them.
