Renowned cricket commentator and former cricketer, Aakash Chopra, emphasized that India possesses a substantial upper hand against Pakistan in the upcoming World Cup clash scheduled for October 14 in Ahmedabad.

In a recent interview with a sports website, Chopra conducted a thorough comparison of the two teams, highlighting India's formidable batting form as the decisive factor in giving them an advantage over their arch-rivals, Pakistan.

“We all saw what Rohit did in Delhi. Seven hundreds in 19 innings - who does that? Man, no one has seven centuries in the World Cup. Even the legendary Sachin Tendulkar only got 6 tons. You need to acknowledge that,” Chopra said.

“After Rohit comes Virat, I am short of words for him. He just loves playing against Pakistan. Then Hardik brings his best to Ahmedabad. Comparing man to man, India is way ahead of Pakistan,” he added.

Following India's victory over Afghanistan, Virender Sehwag, while talking to Cricbuzz, also shared his perspective on the impending clash with Pakistan.

"Absolutely, when you have two back-to-back wins, you do get a lot of confidence and you do go into the next game feeling a lot better. Even if you are facing a bigger team, you still believe that you can beat them. Pakistan also are coming into the match against India with a record chase so they will also have high confidence, among the two teams whoever handles the pressure better will win."

Former wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel, also part of the discussion, concurred with Sehwag's viewpoint.

"As Viru said, Pakistan are also coming into this encounter on the back of a big win. I was sitting out in the IND vs PAK World Cup encounter, but I know that it is all about pressure and who handles it the best. It will be played in Ahmedabad with 1,30,000 people looking on. It is all about handling that pressure," Parthiv said.
