The Indian team practiced on Wednesday afternoon, using three out of the six drop-in pitches at the temporary venue. However, a source close to the team reported dissatisfaction with the makeshift arrangements at the venue, including both the pitches and other facilities.
The ICC have said that no official complaints or concerns had been raised regarding the practice facilities at Cantiague Park by any team.
Rohit Sharma and Co. will continue to use the facilities at Cantiague Park. This park will remain their primary training location, as India will play three of their four group matches in New York against Pakistan, USA, and Ireland, before moving to Florida for their final group match against Canada.
The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium does not have practice facilities, and it is set up exclusively for match play. Consequently, the ICC has designated Cantiague Park as the official training facility, despite it being located a considerable distance from the stadium.
