The Teflon roofs installed in the renovated National Stadium in Karachi were damaged by a recent dust storm in the city, according to a local news channel.

The roofs were installed last year before the start of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five.

The Teflon used for the roofs were imported from Malaysia and were a German product, which cost more than PKR 1,00,00,000. Claims were made that the roofs would remain intact in the face of storms and rains while lasting for 20 years.

However, the recent storm decimated the roofs of two enclosures, Imran Khan and Javed Miandad, in the National Stadium of Karachi.

Meanwhile, an outer wall of the National Stadium in Karachi also collapsed because of the storm. The damaged roofs and the collapsed wall have led to significant monetary losses for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
