The second-most expensive franchise of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings, is now the first team to lose eight consecutive matches in the league stages of the tournament.

Multan Sultans beat Karachi Kings by seven wickets in a close encounter at Gaddafi Stadium, handing Babar Azam's side their eighth straight loss in HBL PSL 7.

Not just this, Karachi Kings now also have the longest losing streak of nine matches. Eight in HBL PSL 7 while they lost Eliminator of HBL PSL 6 to Peshawar Zalmi. Lahore Qalandars previously had this record of losing eight matches.

Meanwhile, the 2020 HBL PSL Champions are the only second team to lose eight matches in a single edition. Quetta Gladiators lost eight in HBL PSL 6.

It must be noted that Kings made unwanted HBL PSL history for becoming the first team to lose seven consecutive matches.

The record of most consecutive defeat in a single edition of HBL PSL was with Lahore Qalandars. Qalandars lost six consecutive games in the 2018 HBL PSL season.
