In a major setback for Karachi Kings, 13 players in their squad are currently grappling with food poisoning.

Sources revealed that Leus du Plooy had to be transferred to a local hospital after his condition deteriorated.

Despite the setback, Kings' team management remains optimistic about fielding a competitive team match against the Quetta Gladiators on Thursday.

Adding to Karachi's woes, James Vince from England and Daniel Sams from Australia were unable to participate in the match against Islamabad United due to stomach problems on Wednesday. Sams has been ruled out of today's clash as well along with Tabraiz Shamsi.

Kings have been granted permission by the PSL technical committee to field only two foreign players.

Furthermore, their head coach, Phil Simmons, also suffered from similar health issues.

Meanwhile, Multan Sultans opted to cancel their training session on Thursday. According to the team management, some Sultans' players will undergo fitness analysis by the medical panel. Future training plans for the team will be determined based on the schedule provided by relevant authorities.
