Mirpur Royals have defeated Overseas Warriors by four wickets to register their first win in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League (KPL) on Monday.

A 63-run opening stand between Mukhtar Ahmed (45 off 41) and Sharjeel Khan (35 off 19) set the platform for a convincing win. Meanwhile, skipper Shoaib Malik scored 36 runs off 24 balls for the winning side.
The Royals lost wickets in a flurry towards the backend of their run-chase but Amad Butt, 13 not out off 11 balls, ensured that his side got over the line.

For the Warriors, pacer Musa Khan claimed three wickets for 27 runs in four overs.
Batting first, Warriors posted 145/6 in their allotted 20 overs with middle-order batsman Kamran Ghulam top-scoring with 47 runs off 35 balls.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan also scored 32 runs, off 40 balls, but he struggled to get going throughout his innings.
Opener Nasir Nawaz contributed 19 runs while skipper Imad Wasim could only muster 12 runs.
For the Royals, pacer Salman Irshad was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/25 in four overs and also bagged the player of the match award.
Abrar Ahmed, Sameen Gul and Shoaib Malik bagged one wicket each.
