Peshawar Zalmi has defeated Lahore Qalandars by seven wickets, during the ongoing Pakistan Super League in Dubai.

Zalmi pacer Hasan Ali bowled a devastating spell of fast bowling to restrict Qalandars to only 78, after captain Sammy won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ali claimed four wickets for 15 runs in his four overs.

Left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz also claimed three wickets for 17 runs.

While chasing the modest target, Zalmi lost both their openers, Kamran Akmal and Imamul Haq, in quick succession. But left-hander Umar Amin kept Zalmi comfortable in the run chase, through a well-compiled half-century. He remained unbeaten on 61 runs off 39 balls.

For Qalandars, pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Rahat Ali claimed one wicket each.

Hasan Ali bagged the award for the player of the match.
