Pakistan’s former all-rounder Azhar Mahmood looks set to return to the Pakistan cricket fraternity after being appointed as the bowling coach for the Multan Sultans franchise for the fifth edition of the Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Legendary former spinner Mushtaq Ahmed will be guiding the spinners while Zimbabwe’s former batsman Andy Flower has been appointed as the head coach for the franchise.

Multan Sultans, however, will be looking for a player to lead the side instead of all-rounder Shoaib Malik, who will likely be drafted to another team.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s head coach and chief selector Misbahul Haq looks set to be associated with the Islamabad United franchise, whereas bowling coach Waqar Younis will not be a part of their coaching staff for this season.

Australia’s former cricketer Dean Jones has already been appointed as the head coach for Karachi Kings.

It must be noted that Pakistan’s former head coach Mickey Arthur has not landed a coaching gig with any franchise, so far.
