The 63-year-old believed that a cricketer cannot take their eyes off the ball under any circumstances
Pakistan’s legendary former captain Javed Miandad claimed that the controversial run-out of opener Fakhar Zaman due to a distraction from South Africa’s wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock was a smart move on the part of the Proteas cricketer.
The 63-year-old believed that a cricketer cannot take their eyes off the ball under any circumstances.
“You can’t get the eyes off the ball,” Miandad told PPI.

“You must love your wicket and runs like a man loves a woman. When you do that, you can’t get run out like this,” he added.
The former cricketer revealed that the Men in Green used to employ similar tactics in the past in order to gain an advantage over the opposition.
“We also used to do that. I used to pretend that I am throwing the ball to the bowler’s end but would through towards wicket-keeper to get the opponent run out. That must be considered smart,” he said.
