Karachi Kings’ captain Imad Wasim believes pacer Mohammad Amir is the best bowler in the world, after a comprehensive seven-wicket win against Multan Sultans on Saturday during the ongoing HBL PSL.

While speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, Wasim said that Amir bowls well even on flat tracks.

Amir claimed one wicket for 34 runs in four overs, during the match, which also included a maiden over.

“I always believe he [Mohammad Amir] is the best bowler in the world, not just in Pakistan. Even on flat tracks, he's bowling so well. I always back him. I think he's the best bowler in the world I've played with. I think he's executing it very nicely,” said Wasim.

He also praised his bowlers for restricting Sultans to a manageable total towards the end of the innings.

“It was tough the last defeat but we knew we could come back. Credit goes to the bowlers first. The way we finished at the end was fantastic. I think we saved almost 15-20 runs at the death,” he said.

He also lauded England’s Joe Clarke for playing a stunning innings of 54 runs off 26 balls.

“I call him [Joe Clarke] 'Box-Office'. He's box-office basically. He just goes in and plays shots, not just slogs, but he's a gun player. He's proving that he's a very good young player,” he concluded.
