Pakistan secured a victory in their T20 World Cup match against Canada on June 11 at the Nassau County International Stadium, following consecutive defeats to co-hosts USA and arch-rivals India.

Left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir was named Man of the Match for his exceptional performance, taking two wickets and conceding only 16 runs in his four-over spell.

During the post-match conference, Amir highlighted the importance of adaptability and clarity in a bowler's role. Reflecting on his performance, Amir shared his approach and mindset during the challenging conditions.

"As a bowler, you have to adapt to any conditions. I was just trying to hit the right areas; the conditions were demanding. As a professional, you've to be clear in your role, I know I have to bowl with the new ball, and at the death, I'm ready for anything. I bowled the away swinger for 3-4 deliveries, then decided to swing it back in (on the dismissal of Dhaliwal). Much needed win, we've to win the next match, and then who knows," Amir said.

After winning the toss, the Men in Green opted to bowl first and successfully restricted Canada to 106 runs, taking seven wickets in the first innings.

Pakistan then chased down the target, losing only three wickets, with Mohammad Rizwan's match-winning knock of 53 runs off 53 deliveries, including two fours and a six, leading them to victory inside the 18th over.

Pakistan's final group match will be against Ireland on June 16 at Lauderhill.
