Mohammad Rizwan becomes third Pakistan batter to score 2500 T20I runs

The 30-year-old reached to the landmark in the 65th innings

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has completed 2500 runs in T20Is, becoming only the third Pakistani after Mohammad Hafeez and Babar Azam to do so.

The 30-year-old reached to the landmark in the 65th innings. Rizwan averages over 50 in this format and has a century to his name. 

The No.1 ranked T20I batter is also the second-fastest to 2500 runs. Only Babar Azam is ahead of him, who reached to the accolade in 62 innings, while Virat Kohli is at third (68 innings).

Only nine batters have scored over 2500 runs in the shortest format. Virat Kohli tops the list with 3856 while Rohit Sharma is at second with 3794 runs.

Martin Guptill has 3531 runs while Babar Azam has scored 3239 runs. Paul Stirling (3133), Aaron Finch (3057), David Warner (2866) and Mohammad Hafeez (2514) are the other four to cross 2500 runs.
