Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan is on the brink of a significant milestone in his T20I career as Pakistan gears up to face New Zealand in a five-match series.

Rizwan is close to surpassing Virat Kohli and Babar Azam's record for the fastest 3,000 runs in T20I cricket, achieved in 81 innings each.

Having scored 2,981 runs in 78 innings, Rizwan needs just 19 more runs in his next two innings to break this record. Achieving this feat would also make him the second Pakistani, after Babar, to reach 3,000 runs in T20I cricket.

In addition, Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah is also edging closer to a noteworthy milestone in his international career.

With 98 wickets in 50 international matches, Shah is just two wickets shy of joining the prestigious 100-wicket club. His wickets are distributed across formats, with 51 in Test cricket, 32 in ODIs, and 15 in T20Is so far.
