Mohammad Sami, Pakistan's former fast bowler, says that with Shaheen Shah Afridi in the mix, Pakistan's bowlers will be very dangerous.

Due to a knee injury, Shaheen Shah Afridi missed the Asia Cup, the England series, and the most recent Tri-Series. The left-arm quick was sent to London to get treatment for his hurt knee. He is now completely better.

Pakistan has two warm-up games against Afghanistan and England before going to the World Cup. During these games, the team management will check Afridi's fitness level.

"Pakistan needed Shaheen Afridi in their side, we were lacking a strike bowler. Haris Rauf and Wasim Jr. are doing well and if you bring Shaheen in, that combination would be lethal," said Sami in an interview.

Sami, currently a bowling coach for the Mardan Warriors team, said that the decision to set up the Pakistan Junior League will be very good for the young players.

"I think we will find a lot of good players from this league, our country is loaded with talent but they need a platform and guidance so that they can do well in the future.

"The brand of cricket these kids are playing, it is great to watch and working with them. This is the stage where your career is defined, we have all these mentors and coaches. I keep on talking with them and everyone is excited since they are the ones who will perform for Pakistan."

When asked about Warriors' fast bowler Aimal Khan, who has gotten a lot of attention for being able to throw fast and swinging balls, Sami said the young player had a lot of potential.

"I think he is a great prospect, he is quick and full of talent. Then we have the likes of Nabeel, they are doing well and all I can do is to guide them so that they can go on to perform for the country."
