Multan Sultan, the leader of the points table of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven, has created a new history on Sunday after they became the only team to register nine wins in the league stages of a single edition of the PSL.

Multan got the better of Islamabad United in its final league match to end on top of the table with 18 points from 10 matches. Lahore Qalandars were the only team to beat Multan Sultans.

Islamabad United made the previous record of most wins in a single edition of HBL PSL when they won eight out of ten matches in the league stages of last year's HBL PSL.

An interesting fact is that while Sultans became the first team to win nine matches in the league stages of the tournament Karachi Kings did the opposite by losing nine matches in a single edition of HBL PSL.

Another coincidence was that Lahore Qalandars were the only team that denied both teams from making it ten out of ten. As they were the only team to beat the Sultans and at the other end, they were the only team to get beaten by the Kings.
