Multan Sultans appoint Catherine Dalton as fast-bowling coach

Dalton, with prior coaching experience in the UK and India, has previously worked with young Pakistani fast bowlers

Catherine Dalton, an ECB-certified Level 3 advanced coach, has made history by becoming the first female coach in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The 30-year-old, who has played four ODIs and four T20Is for Ireland, has been appointed the fast-bowling coach for Multan Sultans.

Dalton, with prior coaching experience in the UK and India, has previously worked with young Pakistani fast bowlers, including Mohammad Ilyas, Sameen Gul, Arshad Iqbal, and Under-19 players.

Alex Hartley, the former England spinner, is also set to be appointed as a specialist spin bowling coach for Multan Sultans, reported The Telegraph. The 30-year-old retired from professional cricket in August, having played 28 ODIs and four T20Is for England from 2016 to 2019.

Hartley holds a Level 2 coaching qualification and has experience coaching Lancashire age-group girls teams.
