Muzaffarabad Tigers chased down the highest total in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League to register a famous win against Bagh Stallions on Thursday.

Chasing a mammoth target of 214 runs, the Tigers reached home in emphatic fashion with eight balls to spare.

Top-order batsman Sohaib Maqsood was the highest scorer with 60 runs off 40 balls.

However, belligerent hitting towards the end of the innings by Anwar Ali and Mohammad Wasim Jnr was instrumental in taking the team over the finishing line. Anwar remained unbeaten on 42 runs off 18 balls, while Wasim was not out on 31 off 9.

Batting first, Bagh Stallions would have considered themselves in the driving seat after posting the highest total, 213/4, in the tournament.

Skipper Shan Masood continued his rich vein of form and scored 65 runs off 40 balls but the real impact came from Iftikhar Ahmed who scored 86 runs off just 38 balls.

Aamir Yamin also contributed with a quick-fire 21-ball 41.

For the Tigers, captain Mohammad Hafeez bagged figures of 2/24 in four overs.
