Naseem recounted an incident in a recent PSL match where he bowled an exceptional yorker, but Babar managed to guide it skillfully to the third man
Islamabad United pacer Naseem Shah acknowledged the formidable challenge of bowling against Babar Azam, emphasizing the difficulty posed by the Peshawar Zalmi captain.
Naseem highlighted that while Babar may punish a loose delivery, he rarely gives the impression of getting out to a well-executed ball.
"Babar Azam is obviously a tough batter to bowl against. Against some batsmen, you get a feeling that he'll get out anytime or smash you all around," Naseem told Cricwick.
"In case of Babar bhai, if you bowl a bad ball, he'll put it away. But against good deliveries, you don't get the feeling that he'll get out.
"You have to be very deceptive against him because he can play such shots on your good deliveries which simply baffle you. Good delivery must be respected."
Naseem recounted an incident in a recent PSL match where he bowled an exceptional yorker, but Babar managed to guide it skillfully to the third man.
"The other day I was bowling at him and I bowled a yorker and the ball was reversing. It was a perfect yorker and he ran it down to third man, I felt this was unfair [laughs].
"In T20s, you bowl that length ball which is the best one to bowl in this format, he can open the face and get a boundary. Against such players, you rarely get that feeling he can get out quickly," he added.
