Nasser Hussain has predicted a remarkable 2024 for Babar Azam, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team. Hussain, a former England captain, shared his prediction in a video released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Nasser Hussain expressed his belief that relinquishing the captaincy may relieve Babar Azam of some burden, allowing him to focus on his batting prowess.
"I think it is a massive year for him [Babar] and Pakistan. He has given up captaincy, that may be the weight off his shoulders," said Nasser.
Hussain emphasized the significance of Babar Azam's role in the team and asserted that Pakistan is counting on him to accumulate significant runs.
"The biggest thing he can do for Pakistan cricket is get shed load of runs. They need him to get runs. There will be a T20 World Cup in the Caribbean. They got to the finals last time. They will need their ex-skipper to put in a real performance," he added.
