New Zealand is confident about the resumption of cricket during a full home season that is scheduled to start in November, this year. Four international sides Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Australia are expected to tour the country in 2020-21 according to the Future Tours Programme (FTP), that was penned down by the International Cricket Council (ICC) while the Women’s World Cup is expected to be played as previously scheduled in February next year.
The New Zealand side was scheduled to tour Bangladesh for a series in August which was canceled this week due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic.
The Chief Executive of New Zealand Cricket (NZC), according to stuff.co, expressed his confidence in his country’s ability to host these scheduled events amidst the global epidemic.

“I’m very confident we’re going to have a full season of international cricket. We are in limbo until then, but we are very advanced in terms of talking to the countries that are scheduled to come here: West Indies, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia,” said NZC chief executive David White.
According to a previous draft, the schedule includes two Tests and limited-overs matches against Pakistan and West Indies which would be followed by limited-overs matches against Bangladesh and Australia.
White stated that the chances of the Women’s World Cup being played as scheduled are high.
“From my personal point of view I think the Women’s World Cup is looking positive, and very likely to be played as scheduled [in New Zealand],” he said.
