Pakistan pacer Mohammad Abbas has appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to facilitate players during the off-season.

While speaking in a video released by PCB, the right-armer said that the camp at the National High Performance Centre (NHPC) will help players fine tune their skills.

“It’s a good initiative by the PCB to invite the players for a camp at NHPC. This step will give players the opportunity to do tuning and strength training in the off-season,” said Abbas.

“I want to improve my fitness and the work on the deficiencies in my bowling during the camp,” he added.

He also stressed on the importance of helping the younger players bearing in mind that he is one of the senior players in the camp.

“As a senior [player], I’m like a big brother for all these players. During a fielding test today, I was talking to the other players about things they should closely work on. They are good players, who have performed well in domestic cricket, and now have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the management,” he said.
