The player auction for the 2024 Lanka Premier League (LPL) took place on Tuesday, May 21.
Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan was pre-signed by the Colombo Strikers before the auction. The Strikers also secured Mohammad Wasim Jnr for $20,000 during the auction.
Meanwhile, the Dambulla Thunders signed Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed and Haider Ali for $50,000 and $25,000 respectively.
B-Love Kandy retained the young Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris and added Azam Khan and Mohammad Hasnain to their squad for $50,000 and $30,000 respectively. Their Pakistani acquisitions continued with Agha Salman and Mohammad Ali, each bought for $10,000.
The fifth edition of the LPL is scheduled to take place from July 1 to 21.
