Quetta Gladiators’ skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has brushed aside the notion that he holds ill feelings against veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez.

While speaking during a virtual press conference ahead of HBL PSL 6, Sarfaraz opened up about his recent Twitter row with Hafeez.

“There is no bad blood between the two of us. Hafeez is a senior player and will always have my respect,” said Sarfaraz.

The row started when Sarfaraz hit back at Hafeez after the latter’s remarks about wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan.

In a tweet after the first T20I between Pakistan and South Africa, Hafeez praised Mohammad Rizwan for his match-winning hundred but also stated that the latter was not considered Pakistan’s number one wicketkeeper-batsman despite good performances.

Replying to Hafeez, Sarfaraz said that "whoever has played for Pakistan has always been number one for the country" and "respected accordingly".

We are all behind Rizwan and wish that he plays many more amazing innings for our beloved country.
