Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2021 squad is likely to be announced on Monday, September 6 without any major surprises.

According to sources, the squad is likely to include players which took part in Pakistan’s recent T20 international assignments.

The selection committee will announce the squad after consultation with the coaching staff and captain Babar Azam.

Considering that Ramiz Raja won’t be elected as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman before September 13, Acting Chairman Wasim Khan will approve the squad. However, Raja has given his input on the formation of the squad.

Bearing in mind the conditions in United Arab Emirates (UAE), a balanced squad is likely to be selected which will include 15 players and six or seven reserve members.

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE and Oman will get underway from October 17, with the Final to be played in Dubai on November 14.
