Pakistan announce squad for ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup

The squad was finalized following a four-day training camp that concluded in Karachi on Saturday

Nida Dar will lead the Pakistan's squad for the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, from July 19 to 28.

The squad was finalized following a four-day training camp that concluded in Karachi on Saturday.

From the 17-member team that toured England last month, Ayesha Zafar, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Umm-e-Hani, and Waheeda Akhtar have been excluded. In their place, the selectors have included Iram Javed, Omaima Sohail, Syeda Aroob Shah, and Tasmia Rubab.

The Pakistan women's national cricket team will begin their training camp for the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup in Karachi on July 5, continuing until their departure on July 16. Head coach

Muhammad Wasim will lead the camp, with support from Abdur Rehman (spin bowling coach), Junaid Khan (assistant coach – bowling), and Hanif Malik (assistant coach – fielding). Hina Munawar, Rabia Siddiq, and Waleed Ahmed will serve as the team manager, physiotherapist, and analyst, respectively.

Pakistan is placed in Group ‘A’ alongside India, Nepal, and the UAE, while Group ‘B’ consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on July 26. Pakistan will face India on the opening day of the tournament on July 19, with subsequent matches against Nepal on July 21 and the UAE on July 23.
