The Pakistan squad for the upcoming tours of Ireland and England is close to being finalized, pending updates on the fitness of four injured players: Haris Rauf, Azam Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Irfan Khan Niazi.

According to a local media report, Rizwan, Azam, and Irfan are nearing full fitness, while Haris Rauf, who hasn't participated in any competitive match since February, is still undergoing rehabilitation in Lahore to regain his fitness.

The selectors plan to evaluate players' performances during these tours to determine the squad for the T20 World Cup in June, utilizing the ICC's deadline of May 25.

The report further added that the team for the Ireland series will be announced once the fitness status of the players is clear.

A brief training camp is set to commence on May 3 in Lahore before the team travels to Ireland.
