After a disappointing loss in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has backed the team to win the tournament next year.

Pakistan remained unbeaten leading up to the clash against Australia in the knockout stage of the tournament, in which Pakistan has never beaten their counterpart.

Afridi, who starred in Pakistan's 2009 T20 World Cup victory, claims that although Pakistan missed an opportunity this time around, they are more than capable of winning the tournament next year.
