Pakistan could surprise everybody in 2023 World Cup: Eoin Morgan

Former England captain Eoin Morgan has pinpointed Pakistan as a potential surprise contender in the upcoming Cricket World Cup. 2023.

Morgan expressed his confidence in Pakistan's ability to outshine expectations, especially in the mega tournament. He emphasized the outstanding talent and competitive spirit within the Pakistani cricket team, suggesting that the unique pressure of a World Cup environment tends to bring out the best in Pakistani players, enabling them to perform at a higher level than their average.

"I think the team that could surprise everybody at this year's cricket World Cup will be Pakistan. Outstanding talents, normally better competition players in the team than bilateral series. So at World Cups, they really do perform better than their average," Morgan said.

ICC Men's Cricket World Cup is set to kick off with exciting England and New Zealand match on Thursday. Pakistan is set to face Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad.
