Pakistan cricket team got a five-month break from international cricket due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the challenges for the Men in Green are set to get tougher as they will compete in various ICC tournaments and the inaugural ICC Test championship during the next three years, under the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).
Following are the scheduled series for Pakistan cricket team under the ICC FTP until the 2023 ICC World Cup:
2021
September-October: Home series vs New Zealand - Three ODIs and five T20Is
October: Home series vs England - Two T20Is
October-November: 2021 ICC T20 World Cup in India
November-December: Away series vs Bangladesh - Two Tests and three T20Is
December: Home series vs West Indies - Three ODIs and three T20Is

2022
February-March: Home series vs Australia - Two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is
July-August: Away series vs Sri Lanka - Two Tests and three ODIs
October: Home series vs England - Five ODIs
October-November: Home series vs New Zealand - Two Tests and three ODIs
October-November: 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia
December: Home series vs England - Three Tests
2023
October-November: 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup in India
