General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is set to host an iftar gathering for the Pakistan cricket team on April 7 in Rawalpindi.

The Men in Green are currently participating in a fitness camp at Kakul, where players are undergoing training and gym routines at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT).

The fitness camp, which commenced on March 26 with an initial end date of April 8, will now conclude a day earlier than originally planned.

The players will travel from Abbottabad to Rawalpindi on April 7 for the iftar gathering, after which they will head back home to get ready for Eid-ul-Fitr.

The players will report back in Rawalpindi after Eid, as the national team is set to take on New Zealand in a five-match T20I series.

The Blackcaps will land in Islamabad on April 14 and are scheduled to play three T20Is at Rawalpindi's Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20, and 21. Following these matches, the teams will move to Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium for the final two T20Is on April 25 and 27.
