Pakistan kick-off ICC World Cup 2019 with match against West Indies

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule for the 2019 ICC World Cup on Tuesday and a host of exciting matches have come up.

Pakistan would kick-start their campaign with a match against the West Indies on May 31 at Nottingham followed by matches against England (June 3), Sri Lanka (June 7), Australia (June 12), India (June 16), South Africa (June 23), New Zealand (June 26), Afghanistan (June 29) and Bangladesh (July 5).

This is the first time that an ICC World Cup would not have group matches and instead all the teams would play against each other once and the top four teams would move to the knockouts.

The semi-finals would take place on July 9 and July 11, while the final would be held on July 14 at the Lord’s.
