Cricketers and officials based in Lahore have completed the process of Covid-19 testing at the National High Performance Centre for the upcoming tours of South Africa and Zimbabwe. The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Medical Panel had conducted the tests after the request from the players and officials.

Players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Imamul Haq along with support staff members such as Misbahul Haq and Waqar Younis have submitted their respective samples for testing.

According to a PCB representative, players have been tested in their respective cities. All players will report to the hotel on 18 March as the PCB begins its own process of Covid-19 tests which are scheduled for March 18, 21 and 24. 

The players will begin their training camp on March 19 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Pakistan squad is expected to depart for Johannesburg on March 26 through a chartered flight.
