Pakistan team will participate in the Over-50s World Cup tournament, which will take place in Capetown, South Africa, from March 6, 2023, to March 20, 2023.

For a better selection of players to participate in the tournament, there will be a match between Karachi Knights and Karachi Kings at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Ground on Sunday.

Karachi Knights will consist of Jafar Qureshi (Captain), Sajid Ali, Azhar Khan, Iqbal Sheikh, Asim Mumtaz, Mazhar Hussain, Shahid Dawood, Imran ul Haq, Jawad Ali, Naeem Tayyab, Ahmed Hayat, Aamir Sabzwari, Muhammad Yousuf, Sohail Mehdi.

Karachi Kings will include Fawad Berry (captain), Dr. Asjad, Mohammad Javed, Jam Nafees, Qamar Ibrahim, Asif Siddiqui, Mansoor Khan, Irfanullah, Khalid Yasin, Waheed Ahmed, Asif Mughal, Shakir Bhagat, Ahsan Shakur.

There will be 14 teams at the tournament this time, up from 12 in 2020. The USA and the United Arab Emirates are the new teams.

The Opening Ceremony will occur on March 5, followed by the first round of matches on March 6.

The 14 teams were divided into two pools. Between March 6 and 15, each team will play six-round matches against the other teams in its pool. The top two teams from each pool advance to the semi-finals, while the remaining teams compete for lower slots. As a result, each of the 14 teams will play eight games.

Pool A contains hosts South Africa, 2018 finalists Pakistan, England, Wales, India, Namibia, and the United States, while Pool B includes defending world champions Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Canada, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates.
