Virat Kohli led India to a famous victory against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup campaign opening at Melbourne cricket ground.
Kohli and Pandya worked brilliantly to help India register win in their first match of the mega event.

KL Rahul was out by Naseem Shah in the second over, which brought Kohli to the crease. Things looked bad for India when a fired-up Haris Rauf brought them down to 31/3 at the end of the batting Powerplay.
Even though the crowd at the MCG was thunderous, the right-handed batter kept his cool and helped the blue shirts win. 31-runs had to be scored in the last two overs, but Kohli hit Rauf for two huge sixes on the last two balls of the second-to-last over, leaving 16 runs to score in the last six balls.
After the match, the former captain of India said he had an idea for how to make the Men in Green feel the pressure.
"Well, it's a surreal atmosphere. I honestly have no words. I have no idea how that happened. Hardik kept telling me just believe we could stay till the end. I'm lost for words. When Shaheen bowled from the Pavilion end, I told Hardik we had to take him down. The calculation was simple. Nawaz had one over to the bowl, so if I could take Haris down, they would panic," Kohli said in a post-match interview.
"Till today, I said Mohali was my best T20 innings. Then I got 82 off 52, and today I got 82 off 53. Both are just as special. All these months when I struggled, you guys [the crowd] kept me going. Thank you so much," he added.
The next game for the Men in Blue will be played on Thursday in Sydney against the Netherlands.
On the other hand, Pakistan has three days off before their next game on Thursday, as they will play Zimbabwe in Perth and try to get back to winning ways.
