The lack of interest of spectators in the ongoing series between Pakistan and West Indies has caused concern among Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials.

According to sources, PCB called a virtual meeting which was attended by senior board officials and members of relevant departments

After reviewing many aspects, various decisions were agreed upon in principle. It is likely that PCB will allow free entry for fans in ODI series, starting from December 18.

It must be noted that PCB have failed to draw the attention of spectators in the first two T20I of the series. According to surfaced videos on social platforms, the process of entering fans inside the stadium is very much time-consuming.

The budding fans are waiting in the queue at the designated gates while the match is being played inside the stadium.

Former Pakistan legends Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi were also unhappy in this regard.

"This is very concerning. This is not a backyard game this is an international series," Wasim slammed PCB.

"Despite the return of international cricket in Pakistan and the consistent excellent performance of our team, the small number of spectators at the Karachi Stadium is certainly disappointing. But it is important to know why this it is and how it can be improved," said Afridi.

https://t.co/aDZ7nNKNfA
