The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has urged the Pakistan team to adopt a more contemporary and aggressive approach in T20Is.

Following Ireland's impressive victory over Pakistan in the first T20I of the ongoing series, the Pakistani team is determined to make a comeback and level the series.

In a two-hour meeting with players and officials in Dublin, Naqvi expressed that no one was willing to accept the defeat and stressed the importance of embracing a modern style of T20 cricket to secure wins.

"Winning will be only possible by playing with the modern and new style of T20 cricket. An intense competition should be displayed on ground and players should fight till the last ball," Naqvi said.

While commending the bowling attack, he underscored the significance of focusing on fielding to deny opponents any opportunities.

“Strategy can be formulated sitting in a room but the real test is in the field, where the performance should be seen,” he said.

He reminded the players of the high expectations held by the Pakistani nation, emphasizing that they must work together as a team to meet these expectations.

Naqvi concluded by stating that unity and concerted effort from all eleven players were essential for achieving success on the field.
