Tthe Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen not to extend No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for national cricketers, restricting their participation in international leagues.

Despite pleas from players involved in ongoing T20 leagues such as UAE ILT20 and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, the PCB has maintained its stance.

Sources within the PCB reveal that several cricketers sought NOC extensions to capitalize on opportunities in these prominent leagues.

However, after a thorough review, the board decided against expanding the issuance of NOCs. Players have been notified that their participation is limited until February 7.

The sudden refusal has upset both current and future national team players. Even those not currently playing for Pakistan's international team but participating in ongoing leagues have been called back.

An individual player has expressed his views on the issue, saying that those whose workload management is not a problem should be allowed to play more. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is starting on February 17, and players can participate in international leagues until then.

The player mentioned that some players got permission until February 13, and one player got permission until February 16. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should have a consistent policy, allowing players who are not part of the national teams to play.
