The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently announced strict restrictions on the unnecessary travel of its officials, both within the country and abroad. This decision comes as Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has taken a firm stance to curb excessive expenditures on official trips.

In the past, some PCB officials were observed taking trips to various cities or even international destinations without valid reasons, leading to substantial financial burdens on the board. These trips not only incurred significant travel and accommodation expenses but also resulted in losses in allowances.

Sources within the PCB revealed that certain officials had developed a habit of undertaking tours under the guise of work, even during crucial times such as series engagements for the national team. Upon discovering this practice, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi promptly initiated measures to address the issue.

The enforcement of these restrictions has also disrupted the plans of some officials who were eyeing trips, including a speculated tour to America during the upcoming World Cup events. Moreover, sources suggest that the process of organizational reforms within the PCB is ongoing and is expected to continue soon.

Chairman Naqvi aims to streamline decision-making processes based on their capabilities. There are indications that certain officials, despite limited contributions, have been exerting undue influence within the board's operations.

The chairman has gained a deeper insight into the responsibilities of senior officials and aims to base decisions on their abilities. Some officials have been identified as not contributing significantly to the board's functioning, leading to plans for their departure.

Meanwhile, a director is planning a two-month vacation in the USA. PSL franchises have recently filed a complaint with the PCB about his work-related issues.
