Two Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have been served show cause notices for their visit to a casino in Colombo during the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.

The pictures and videos of General Manager International Cricket Adnan Ali and Director Media Umar Farooq Kalson went viral on social media a couple of days ago.

As reported by local media, in response to the show cause notices, the officials explained that their visit to the casino was only to search for Halal food, as all the other nearby restaurants were closed.

The PCB has opted not to take immediate action against the pair. The final decision in this matter will be made by the chairman of the PCB management committee, Zaka Ashraf, who is presently in Sri Lanka with his family.

Many PCB officials had travelled between Colombo and Lahore as Pakistan is the official host of the Asia Cup.
